While we know that we can always look to God for our help, there are times when God can and will use resources here on earth to assist us. For that reason, we've assembled a list of area organizations that will help you in the areas you need.

  • There are also "Free Little Pantries" or "Mini Food Centers" around the area. These are like the "Free Little Libraries" but for food. One is at the YWCA.

  • Sauk Valley Community College provides an anonymous self-screening tool through HealthFleet, Inc to assess for Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Gambling, Eating Disorders, PTSD, Anger issues, and Psychosis/Schizophrenia concerns. Screening tools are not diagnostic, but are valid indicators of a need for further assessment with a mental health professional.
